Well, what a mixed bunch we have again this year, singers, interior designer, ex footballer, actress/actor, super model, Michelin star chef, to name a few. After meeting in a posh hotel they were told there would be 2 camps this year, Croc Creek and Snake Rock and that Malcolm Maclaren, the bad boy of pop from yester year had backed out before even entering the jungle.
The teams were then whisked away in helicopters where one group was sent up the creek without a paddle and the others were forced to bungee out of another helicopter at 1000 ft. They were not allowed to relax for long before 2 members faced each other in the first Bush Tucker Trial, which have a twist this year, the losing camp do not get food, only the winners.
The trials stared off in great style with Marc for Croc Creek and Janice for Snake Rock going head to head, they were strapped onto large cogs and rotated 5 times over vats of fish guts, Mark won this trial so fed his camp that night. Janice was picked again for the trial (by the public this time) and faced Rodney in a head to head, they were launched down a ramp into water where Janice managed to win getting 9 stars to so her camp got food.
Katie who had joined the Snake Rock camp to replace the missing Malcolm Maclaren was chosen to do the first trial after the camps joined together, she was placed in a coffin full of insects and water and suspended above the jungle before the sides vanished leaving her in a clear coffin.
Once again Janice was picked to another trial and was met by Christopher Biggins who joins the show, they managed to do well in the trial and camp got to eat.
Janice seems to have a fear of anything that moves and can see her being picked a lot to do trials because of the fun factor, well they did say the trials would be better this year!!!! LOL.
We will then feature some of the best ideas in next weeks blog!

It seemed a waste to not use some of the fabulous comments we got on Scotland from our roomies and CMPink. So here they are!
CMPink – Extended Version!
I adore Glasgow and have been there on many occasions. The Shawlands area is great for shopping, restaurants and bars. I also visited the science museum and the house for an art lover in Bellahouston park.
If you visit Glasgow make sure you visit the various pubs in the city centre, Merchant City, Kelvingrove Park, George Square, the Cathedral & the Necropolis, Provand’s Lordship, The Tall Ship… but the most important thing to do in Glasgow is shop! Argyll Street, Buchanan Street & Sauchiehall Street is THE Shopping mile… Take lots of pocket money and enjoy yourself.
What a fab city!

The best place to go in Scotland has got to be Gretna Green. I got married there and there is something magical and romantic about the whole experience, unlike any other sort of wedding. You can almost smell the love in the air with loved up runnaway couples all around. I must return to Gretna in the not so distant future.

Cellardyke is a quaint fishing village on the East coast of Scotland, approximately 15 miles south of St. Andrews.
It is a good place that can be used as a base, which will allow you to tour the area between Edinburgh and Dundee or just visit one of Churchill’s hiding places during the war.
Cellardyke is literally joined to another small village called Anstruther and between them they get the reindeers down to the villages around this time of year for the children (something to do with Christmas?).
The locals are friendly, the restaurants and pubs are warm, and at least the drinks are their relative correct temperatures.

The best place in Scotland is Mull (where balamory is shot) its sooo relaxing and feels like someone has stopped the clock. Super sandy beaches and friendly people. Makes you want to sell up and go live there.

I live in the border and senery is lovely to see, all the green hills and open landscapes, plus the good fresh air unlike the cities.

Best place to visit in Scotland is Edinburgh. Visit the underground vaults where people actually lived, very scary especially in the winter. Also hop on the tour bus it’s excellent value for money and very interesting with funny and gruesome stories. There’s the Royal Yacht Britannia, only a short bus ride away. Fantastic shops and resaurants. Museums, art galleries, the castle, the military Tattoo, beautiful scenery and great architecture. If you want to go somewhere that has everything, go to Edinburgh!

Visiting Edinburgh during the Festival is a wonderful experience. We especially enjoy the Fringe, trying to cram in as many shows as possible into one day and having a relaxing drink in the Pleasance Courtyard on a summer’s evening in August.
As you can see all of the responses were fab! Keep it up!
This fortnight we want your Christmas Tips. So send in your responses to our feedback form.
